WILLIAM and JOHN FLANNERY, residing on a Leasehold of a former Church and School estate, purchased sixty four acres jointly at the Public Auction held on the 10th February 1872 for the sum of one hundred and twenty eight pounds (128), situated on the west boundary of Joseph Gorton's seventy seven acre purchase. William Flannery had married Jane Pardy at 'Clonfert' County Galway, Ireland in October 1832 and came to New South Wales (1855): sons John Flannery married Charlotte Gorton (1874) and James married Eliza Gorton (1868) daughters of Joseph Gorton.

JAMES FLANNERY, son of John and Charlotte (Gorton) Flannery of 'Glen William', purchased sixty six acres having a frontage to Williams River on the South and North, and situated on the East boundary of John Campbell's purchase; subsequently conveyed to various persons and ultimately to merge into one ownership.

JAMES FLANNERY, eighty seven acre purchase dated 10th November 1877, situated at the North boundary of and adjoining his previous purchase and having frontage to Williams River adjacent to the 'Mill Falls'; Conveyed to his family.

The CROWN RESERVATION of forty seven acres, by Government Notice of the 11th June 1904 and described as a STOCK WATERING RESERVE, having frontage to Williams River, situated on the North Boundary of James Flannery's purchase.

JAMES FLANNERY purchased the Settlement Lease in 1900 of Portions containing 281,370,260 and 142 acres situated on the West boundary of the lands purchased by William Lowe, John Johnson and his own eighty acre purchase. He subsequently converted his propery 'Mill Hills' to Freehold, extending Westerly to and bisected by the Clarence Town to Dungog Road adjacent to Stony Creek and adjoining Martin Purcell's 280 acre purchase on the Flannery's South boundary.
